Founder and Professional Development Facilitator
Fiona Madill is an experienced educator with over 20 years experience in the classroom, as a classroom teacher, senior teacher and on various curriculum development teams.
After a stint teaching in the United Kingdom, Fiona returned home to teach for three years in New Zealand before taking on a role with Volunteer Services Abroad as a teacher trainer on the remote atolls of Tokelau before once again returning to New Zealand.
Having worked in many different schools over the years, Fiona has experienced first hand that every school is unique, with different needs, and personalities. She has been on her fair share of professional development, from the inspiring, to the mundane and everything in between, and has long joked that you can tell the quality of a course by its lunch!
Over ten years ago a seed was planted to establish an independent organisation providing professional development for teachers that would leave us feeling inspired and full of ideas to implement in the following days, weeks, months and years in our classrooms.
That lancewood is now planted and aims to bring top educational presenters to New Zealand helping ensure that our teachers remain inspired to deliver the best education to our tamariki.
Fiona looks forward to:
Hearing from teachers and school leaders about professional development they would like brought to New Zealand;
Building strong relationships with presenters who would like to share their expertise and spend a little time in our magnificent backyard.
